This tune started with the idea of trying to lay a countrified fiddle melody over a simple second line blues. For me, it turned out feeling like the theme song for a lazy walk downtown on a hot summer evening in Charleston, SC. It's in that sweet southern swamp that my musical life truly began and I carry its bewitching vibe with me always. I think this tune comes from fond memories of murky nights, bouncing from bar to bar, running into friends, checking out music, and sweeping down the streets of one of the best cities on earth without a worry in the world.
